The question I couldn't stop thinking about when I found out I was pregnant wasn't "what will I name him."

It was this: what happens to my clients? How do I keep paying my bills? What if I set a return date and I'm not ready? How do I reschedule everyone when I don't even know when I'm coming back? What if they find someone they love and just… don't come back?

Those fears are real. I felt every single one of them.

Most stylists think they can just wing it and figure it out when the time comes. Send a quick message between feedings and nap traps…and hope for the best. And sometimes that works even though it’s stressful. But the ones who come back to full books? They had a plan before they needed one.

This playbook is that plan.

What's inside:

  • The financial foundation: savings, insurance, and knowing your legal picture before you need it, so there’s no scrambling when the time actually comes
  • Your leave timeline: how to plan your last day, build your referral list, and create flexibility in your schedule, so your clients aren’t left wondering and you’re not leaving on a chaotic note
  • 8 done-for-you email templates, fully written, subject lines and preview text included, for every stage of your leave. Never used Flodesk? No problem. These are ready to copy, paste, and send. If you’re already in Flodesk, they’re ready to duplicate in one click.
  • The Jotform appointment request form: ready to duplicate, customize, and send the moment you have a return window, so you’re not manually fielding a hundred “when are you back?” messages when you just want to be resting and in the love bubble
  • The return plan: how to book your first week back, handle clients who don’t return, and manage cancellations with grace and firmness, so you come back with a full book, not a guessing game
  • Salon owner mini playbook: how to plan coverage when a stylist goes on leave and keep operations running when you’re the one stepping back, so the business doesn’t fall apart just because you're not in it 24/7

This is for you if:
You're pregnant, planning ahead, or navigating any kind of extended leave like maternity, surgery, sabbatical, or otherwise.

The Maternity & Extended Leave Playbook gives you the communication strategy, the Flodesk-ready email templates, and the Jotform appointment request form to take your leave with confidence and come back to full books.

You built an incredible clientele and business. You didn’t do that by accident. And the thought of losing it, even temporarily… is terrifying. You deserve to step away, be present for whatever this season holds, and come back to a chair that’s still full. With clients who were waiting for you.

You shouldn’t have to choose between taking care of yourself and protecting what you’ve built. This playbook means you don’t have to.

Non-Disparagement and Client Features
(a) Client agrees not to make defamatory statements about Company, its team, or its products, except as required by law. This does not limit Client's right to leave an honest review.
(b) Company may share Client's feedback or results on its website or social channels. Company will request Client's approval before publishing any feature that names or identifies Client. Features that do not identify Client do not require approval.
No Guarantees

Entire Agreement and Changes
This Agreement, together with the Program's sales page as of the date of purchase, is the entire agreement between the parties and replaces all prior understandings. Any change must be in writing and agreed to by both parties. No waiver of any provision is a waiver of any other provision, and no waiver is binding unless made in writing.
Neutral Construction

Can definitely attest to how easy your course has made my leave been. One week in with my newborn and it feels so good to know everything is taken care for the salon. Cannot thank you enough

The playbook is absolutely incredible. It is 20 million out of 10. I had my assistant put all of the templates into Flodesk and feel so much better about the communication with my clients. I was just so nervous before. Thank you for creating this, not just for me, but for every stylist.
